Subject: Fw: UA alum Kieghan Nangle named assistant to White House Press Secretary
To Alabama lawyers:
University of Alabama alumnae Kieghan Nangle's has been named executive assistant to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and I availed of such development to send the below email to University of Alabama professors and others.
In the email I ask the addressees to evaluate my calling President Donald J. Trump "a power-crazed January 6th lawbreaker", and, in doing so, I ask for them to consider my communications to Alabama lawyers, such as shown in The Final Battle against Donald J. Trump: Sen. Katie Britt versus Prof. Joyce Vance,
Focusing on whether President Donald J. Trump is a January 6th lawbreaker, I cite the following from Jack Smith's report:
“The Department’s view that the Constitution prohibits the continued indictment and prosecution of a President is categorical and does not turn on the gravity of the crimes charged, the strength of the Government’s proof, or the merits of the prosecution, which the Office stands fully behind,” the report states. “Indeed, but for Mr. Trump’s election and imminent return to the Presidency, the Office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial.” Read the full special counsel report on Trump’s Jan. 6 actions | PBS News.
In connection with what my below email says, my question to Alabama lawyers is this: Is there any Alabama lawyer who will publicly express disagreement with the DOJ's assessment that "the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial."?
If there is such a public expression of disagreement, I would like to be made aware of it, and I will take it into account in my ongoing communicating on this subject.
Thank you.
