Dale Jackson replied to my last evening's email I sent to you (Dale's reply is below) and he suggested I call into his radio show.
I called into Dale's radio show this morning as he suggested I do.
I think the main thing to take away from my call in to Dale is that Dale expressed that he thinks Trump did nothing wrong in connection with January 6th and I expressed I think Trump engaged in criminal behavior in connection with January 6th.
I will continue my work to try to engender more discussion among Alabamians about whether Trump did nothing wrong in connection with January 6th or whether Trump engaged in criminal behavior in connection with January 6th.
Thank you.

Subject: How power crazed is Trump?
Dear Alabama lawyers,
On Tuesday I sent the below email, bearing the subject line "How power crazed is Trump?".
One of the recipients was Dale Jackson, who emailed me back suggesting I call into his show.
I called in yesterday.
My main take away from my call in to Dale is that Dale expressed that he thinks Trump did nothing wrong in connection with January 6th and I expressed I think Trump engaged in criminal behavior in connection with January 6th.
I have been trying to promote discussion by Alabama lawyers about protecting the rule of law. I think central to that is whether Trump did nothing wrong in connection with January 6th or whether Trump engaged in criminal behavior in connection with January 6th.
I solicit Alabama lawyers to express whether they think Trump did nothing wrong in connection with January 6th or whether they think Trump engaged in criminal behavior in connection with January 6th.
Thanks very much.

January 6, 2025

In The Final Battle against Donald J. Trump: Democrats should boycott the inauguration, I urge a formal call by the Democratic leadership and conscientious Republicans for a boycott of President Trump's inauguration on January 20, based on the reasoning and rationale set out at the foregoing link. I urge that the call for such boycott be done at the Washington DC Ellipse on January 6. 2025, accompanied by saying to the effect of

On January 6, 2021, President-Elect Trump, as the then President of the United States, attempted to prevent the peaceful transfer of power to then President-Elect Joe Biden.
Unlike that criminal attack on democracy on January 6, 2021, today, January 6, 2025, a peaceful transfer of power is taking place in the Capitol Building where the electoral votes are being counted and certified by the United States House of Representatives.
In calling for a boycott of President-Elect Trump's inauguration on January 20th, we are in no way interfering with the peaceful transfer of power to him, but instead we are announcing to the American people and to the world that we will try to stand as a bulwark against President-Elect Trump abusing his Presidential power after January 20, 2025, as he abused his Presidential power during his first term of office.

This email follows on my December 13th and December 29th emails to you related to Trump and power.
On Monday, January 6, 2025, the Presidential electoral votes will be counted and certified by the United States House of Representatives, and on January 20, 2025, the Presidential power will be handed over to Trump.
I think Trump is a ruthless power seeker, and I am led to think about another ruthless power seeker Adolph Hitler, who was handed over power in Germany on January 30, 1933.
I think ruthless power seekers share characteristics..
In their lust for power, ruthless power seekers take risks for power that others who are lesser in their lust for power caution against.
In 1938 Hitler's lust for power led him to seek to take over Czechoslovakia. This was risky. Hitler's generals thought Germany was not sufficiently strong, that France and England would go to war against Germany, and Germany would lose badly. Hitler thought France and England would not go to war. Hitler turned out right. France and England did not go to war over Czechoslovakia; This confirmed Hitler in his own mind that he knew better than his generals, and, going forward, Hitler trusted more what he thought than what anyone else thought, and his generals were cowed into going along with Hitler.
In 2020 Trump's advisors thought Trump should accept that he lost the 2020 election. Trump's lust for power would not allow him to accept that he lost the 2020 election. At great legal risk to himself, Trump sought to overturn the 2020 election, which culminated in January 6th, 2021. While Trump was not successful in overturning the 2020 election, he escaped the adverse legal consequences that he risked happening, and it is fair to believe that escaping those consequences confirmed in Trump's mind he knew better than his advisors, and, going forward, Trump will trust more what he thinks in his quest for power, and his advisors will be more cowed in going along with whatever Trump wants and says.
Ruthless power seekers also exploit situations that present opportunities for increasing their power, and they will even manufacture situations that will help increase their power.
Hitler used the February 27, 1933, Reichstag fire to enact emergency legislation that paved the way for his dictatorship.
Trump is evidencing that he will use the New Orleans crowd ramming event to increase his power by falsely suggesting the perpetrator was an immigrant, and, among other things, that will advance Kash Patel's chances to win confirmation as FBI director.
Critical for ruthless power seekers is squelching truth and squelching opposition to their power seeking. Hitler did that near absolutely in Germany. A priority for ruthless power seeker Trump is to do similarly in the United States, such as his attack on the January 6th committee.
I would like to think that writing this email and the previous emails to you asking you to speak up, plus emails I have sent to TV stations, is my practicing civic responsibility in our democracy.
You are the deciders of what your civic responsibility calls for you to say and do, and the TV stations are the deciders of what their journalistic and civic responsibilities call for them to say and do.
I am a presumptuous recordkeeper and will file this in The Final Battle against Donald J. Trump: January 6, 2025.
Thank you.

Subject: The Trump agenda
For four years MAGA has decried the Biden administration as a disaster for the United States.
I am dubious about the Trump agenda and what it will achieve for the benefit of the United States.
I am particularly dubious because of the nature of Trump and the extent to which I believe he is driven by a self-interested quest for power and to protect himself at all costs regardless of adverse consequences for the country.
I previously sent you a December 18th email in which I said, "I believe Trump only wants power to feed his monumental ego and vanity; everything he does is calculated to increase his power and serve those ends; and any American who does not fall in line with adulation of Trump is his enemy whom MAGA Republicans should seek to destroy."
Over the weekend I sent the below email to Alabama history professors and TV stations.
That email has been filed in, and this email will be filed in, The Final Battle against Donald J. Trump: January 6, 2025.
We will see what happens in the coming weeks and months.
Thank you.

Jan. 3-5 DC march; Amend. 14 Sec. 3

The below video advocates a peaceful march in Washington DC, January 3-5, to call on Congress to disqualify President-Elect Trump under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment.

It would seem that the priority should be to get the foregoing suggestions (and any other ideas) in front of Democrats and Republicans in leadership positions for them to decide what should be done.
