There will begin on Monday a supremely momentous first 100 days of the second Trump administration during which President-Elect Trump will deliver his version of shock and awe that is needed to reverse the disaster that he says the United States has become.
Here in Alabama the responsibility of Alabama institutional parties and other Alabama parties for either having culpability in contributing to the United States being a disaster as Trump contends, or being a positive force against the United States being a disaster, is deserving of consideration, with a view going forward and particularly in connection with the first 100 days starting Monday.
In 2022 I wrote Be An Alabama Rootstriker* with Rob Shattuck: A time for AL institutional respect and trust regarding Alabama institutions. I personally think they have fallen short.
Given the shock and awe that is expected to unfold from President-Elect Trump starting Monday, and the likely flummoxed condition of Alabamians regarding the same, I will undertake engaging with Alabma institutional parties to see whether they can help Alabamians out of their flummoxed state.

Subject: The first 100 days
To Alabama lawyers:
President-Elect Donald Trump said this month “Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World!”
Upcoming is a supremely momentous first 100 days during which President-Elect Trump will deliver to the American people shock and awe that President-Elect Trump believes is needed to undo the disaster.
Here in Alabama the responsibility of Alabama institutional parties and other Alabama parties for either having culpability in contributing to the United States being a disaster as Trump contends, or being a force against the United States being a disaster, is deserving of consideration, particularly with a view going forward.
Starting at 1:00 of the video at Katie Britt Accuses Democrats Of 'Full-On Gaslighting' During Pam Bondi Confirmation Hearing, Senator Britt slams the Biden administration for "running the Department of Justice into the ground" and allowing "weaponization of the Department of Justice [to undermine] credibility and credence that Americans should have," and she says Pam Bondi "will return the Department to where it was."
This is the opposite of what Professor Joyce Vance says at Sentenced - Civil Discourse with Joyce Vance, including such things as "the damage Donald Trump has done and will continue to do to our system" and, "At a low point like this, it might be tempting to think that the rule of law is dead. That Donald Trump killed it. There is no doubt that the rule of law is battered."
These diametrically opposed views should be very serious stuff in the minds of the Alabama legal profession.
With President-Elect Trump's shock and awe about to begin, can or cannot the Alabama legal profession speak with authority to Alabamians to help them with their thinking about the forgoing diametrically opposed views?
Again, thank you very much.
