Donald TrumpDuring a speech on Monday, President Trump addressed the issues surrounding Obamacare. Throughout his campaign, Donald Trump said his thwarting of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, would be swift, as would replacing it with a better plan. On Monday, he offered insights into why that pledge has not been realized as quickly as promised. President Trump told governors gathered at the White House, “Now, I have to tell you, it's an unbelievably complex subject. Nobody knew healthcare could be so complicated." He prefaced that acknowledgment with the statement, “We have a lot of talent and a lot of expertise here and I will tell you and we have come up with a solution that is really, really, I think, very good.” The specifics of that plan have yet to be revealed to both the public and insurance providers. However, on Monday, Trump did tell the latter, “I think it's going to be something special...I think you're going to like what you hear." |

MSNBC's report says:
Everyone knew that health care policy could be complicated. Everyone. It was complicated when Democrats spent months shaping the Affordable Care Act. It was complicated when Republicans spent seven years working behind closed doors on their alternative to the ACA. It was complicated for generations as policymakers in both parties launched various efforts to extend health security to Americans for the better part of a century._________________________________________
To be surprised by its complexity is to be alarmingly ignorant of the debate that’s been ongoing for decades. It appears the only person in America who assumed health-care policy is simple is the one Americans elected president.
There has been added to the grounds for Congress to censure Donald Trump that are enumerated at ALABAMIANS TWEETING FOR CONGRESS TO CENSURE DONALD TRUMP the following:
12. [added 2/28] Either President Donald Trump is alarmingly ignorant about health care, or else he has been lying to the American people for months. See Nobody knew.
