What James Stirling and Bill McCartney agree on

On their Facebooks, Bill McCartney and James Stirling mutually subscribed to the following:
James Stirling and I had a productive conversation over beer and pizza between friends who see some of the world differently.
As the conversation unfolded it was interesting how much we actually agree on while beginning to understand each other’s perspectives.
Since we only know what we have been told by talking heads and internet chatter, we realized that neither of us knew the truth about some of our sticking points. So, we agreed to research/find the truth about whether ICE was breaking into homes and arresting people without legal authority and if illegals are being deported without due process.
Our elected officials, churches and other organizations don't appear to want to do anything to help heal our country’s divisions so, as it almost always is, it comes down to individuals to create a positive change among our circle of friends, communities, country....
We challenge everyone who reads this to have a talk, coupled with actually listening with someone you know who has a different political perspective. Find out what you agree and disagree on, then work to embrace the similarities while understanding the differences.
You too may be able to bring the temperature down between the two of you and improve your quality of life and for those you know and love. Please let us know if you accepted this challenge and how it turned out.

I wish to flesh out with Bill and James the things they agree on, and I will ask them here and on their Facebooks to try to do this. As this proceeds, I will record here what transpires. [to be continued]

Subject: What James Stirling and Bill McCartney agree on
Friends,
On their Facebooks, Bill McCartney and James Stirling mutually subscribed to the following:
I am seeking to flesh out with Bill and James things they agree on, and I am memorializing this at Citizens Acting to End the Trump Presidency: What James Stirling and Bill McCartney agree on.
Further I agree with Bill and James where they say," Our elected officials, churches and other organizations don't appear to want to do anything to help heal our country’s divisions so, as it almost always is, it comes down to individuals to create a positive change among our circle of friends, communities, country...."
Also, surprise of surprises, I am taking up the challenge Bill and James make "to have a talk, coupled with actually listening with someone you know who has a different political perspective. Find out what you agree and disagree on, then work to embrace the similarities while understanding the differences."
Thus, this email is to solicit talk with whoever is willing.
Please let me know.
Your Friend,
Rob
